If you happen to be a 7-Eleven customer (or you’re just frugal and willing to drive anywhere for a deal), go here to print out a coupon for a free hot beverage from 7-Eleven. It’s good for a 12 oz. coffee, cappuccino, hot chocolate or tea, and it doesn’t expire until Oct. 31.
Also, I know it’s not 7-Eleven and doesn’t have anything to do with money, but just because I’m now in convenience store mindset, I’d like to share a classic quote from “Say Anything”:
“I got a question: If you guys know so much about women, how come you’re here at like the Gas ‘n Sip on a Saturday night completely alone drinking beers with no women anywhere?”
I’ve never used Restaurant.com for gift certificates because I like to pretend that I don’t actually blow money by eating out at restaurants somewhat frequently (even though, like many people, I do).
But this seems like a pretty good deal: 80% off gift certificates. Click here for more info. Has anyone done this before?

I’m not big on grocery coupons. If I get some for free in the mail, then I try to use them. But I don’t buy newspapers for the coupons or print grocery coupons from online (printer ink is expensive!). There are lots of blogs and coupon sites out there if you’re interested in going coupon craaaaazy.
However, there is one site I’d like to highlight: Shortcuts.com. Here’s how it works: You create an account at Shortcuts and you add the numbers for your grocery club cards (like Safeway, QFC, Albertson’s, etc.). The website will then offer you various coupons that you can select and it will add those coupons to your club card number. When you go through the check-out at the grocery store and scan your club card like you always do, the register will automatically use your Shortcuts coupons if they’re applicable.
From time to time, Shortcuts will email you with various coupon offers. Most of the ones that I’ve selected have been for yogurt, cereal, granola bars – stuff like that. It’s all brand name items. I think there’s only been one time where I’ve used a Shortcuts coupon and that was on accident.
The problem I have with Shortcuts is that unless you’re diligent about either keeping a running list of your coupons or just having a really good memory, you’re not going to know what coupons you have – unless you log in online. For those of us with non-fancy cell phones, logging into your Shortcuts account while you’re at the store doesn’t really work.
I do think the digital coupons are a good idea, and it beats carrying around coupons, but it’s just not quite there yet.
Enter promotional code EXTRA20 at checkout at Gap.com and you’ll get an extra 20% off. It expires 9/25, and the code works on sale items too – score!
Here are a couple of Lane Bryant 25% off discount codes that supposedly expire 9/27:

I’d like to take a second to do a little rant about plus-size clothes and Lane Bryant. For years, I accompanied my mom to that store, and I eventually wound up buying jeans there for myself a few times. So I can say from experience that shopping there is not fun. In a mall full of cute, relatively cheap clothes, Lane Bryant manages to charge a fortune for clothes that oftentimes aren’t that cute. They get away with it because compared to some other plus-size stores, LB has more fashionable clothes. But that’s really not saying a lot.
I can’t tell you how happy I am that I don’t have to shop there anymore. I don’t want that to sound like I’m bragging because I’m really not! Miss Fitness USA – I am not. Yes, I’m glad that I lost some of that weight and am healthier, blah blah blah, but what really gets me excited is that I’m not subjected to a limited and expensive selection at stores like LB.
It’s not fair that plus-size fashion choices are so limited. Isn’t the average size of American women like a 14? Now I’m all for being healthy and I encourage everyone carrying extra weight to do something about it (myself included). But regardless of your feelings about what is considered a healthy size, it’s silly that we can’t acknowledge reality and make better clothes for all women.
Normally I don’t post about printable food coupons because I don’t like to use up my printer ink on coupons unless it’s a good deal. But this product is so popular (hello, lunch at your desk) and the coupons are good enough that it’s worth mentioning.
Go to www.healthychoice.com and you can download two coupons:
You can print 2 coupons (2 of each, so a total of 4) and they expire in 1 month.
Since most grocery stores tend to put these dinners on sale for $2.50 or even $2, it’s like getting 4 free meals. They may not be the best meals, but they’re free meals.
And FYI: The website has sound and it’s annoying, so turn off your speakers.
If you like Jamba Juice – and who doesn’t? - here is a coupon for buy one get one free smoothie. The offer ends August 9.

I don’t want to get all TMI here, but let’s just say that probably most of us can agree that fiber is an important thing.
Sign up here to get a free sample of Fiber One cereal and a Fiber One bar (I actually had the Oats & Chocolate bar this morning!) and coupons.
(P.S. After you fill out the form, it takes you to a second page where they want you to register. But you DON’T have to – look for the “No Thank You” link at the bottom of the page so you don’t have to register.)
25% off coupon for the Container Store (can be used online or in-store)
I really like the Container Store. They have pretty much everything you could ever want to organize your living space. It’s hard to walk in and not find something you justabsolutelyhavetohaverightnow! Which is why I recommend being very careful there.
(Speaking of mini, does anyone else really like the Jack in the Box “mini sirloin burgers” commercial? I feel so wrong and un-PC for liking a commercial that sort of exploits little people, but the song is so cute and the little cattle are precious!)
Anyway… two items that work well for travel:

If you’ve been wanting to buy a picture frame (maybe a present for Father’s Day??), here is a link to a couple coupons for Aaron Brothers:
Aaron Brothers has a really nice selection of frames. It’s typically the first place I go to when looking for a frame and they usually have coupons on their web site or by signing up for e-mail promotions.
It’s not exactly cute, but housekeeping is a fact of life. Click here to get a booklet of coupons ($30 value) for cleaning products. They’re not for “green” products unfortunately, but a deal’s a deal.
You know what’s not cute? Sun damage.
Regardless of how light or dark your skin is, everyone has some risk of skin cancer. So for goodness sake, wear sunblock!
Coppertone has a $3 off coupon on their website. Just click the link and then click the “Print & Save Coupon” in the bottom left corner of the screen.
I actually just bought Coppertone last weekend, so I’d wish I’d known about the coupon. I can vouch that the Sport Continuous Spray (SPF 30) works extremely well – I was nervous about using a spray, but I wore it outside for a whole day and didn’t get burned at all (I did re-apply a few times).
Three cheers for embracing your natural skin tone!
