All Gap stores across the country are having a special sale this Thursday, August 20 from 7-9 p.m. Shoppers will receive $20 off jeans and an additional 15% off their entire purchase.

The parties are celebrating the launch of Gap’s 1969 premium jeans and their 40th anniversary. They are introducing new fits and washes. This makes me sad because I just recently discovered that their Long & Lean fit is perfect for me. And now they’re apparently changing it. Booooo!
Are you sure they’re changing the long and lean? It’s like their #1 seller and it would be insane to change that one. Meanwhile they discontinued my faves about 2 years ago. CURSE YOU GAP.
I don’t know for sure. I got this thing in the mail that shows all the cuts and for women it’s: always skinny, real straight, sexy boot and curvy. But that’s the 1969 style – so maybe they’re keeping their other cuts? I hope so!

Don’t worry – we kept the Long & Lean. The washes are updated and the fits are tweaked just a little bit, so you may not even notice a difference. The washes are definitely a lot nicer (there’s a great dark wash) and the denim has a better feel. We also kept the Curvy fit with just a few small modifications. The acoustic thing was definitely lame. At least in our store.
