American Eagle is having a good clearance sale on jeans. So if you missed the Gap sale this weekend, here’s another chance to embrace denim.

I just happened to come across an awesome sale on jeans at the GAP yesterday (Saturday) – all jeans were $19.99. That’s a really good deal!
The sign said the sale was limited time only. I’m not sure when it ends, so if you’re looking for a deal, go now!

Update to my post a few days ago:
Oh, happy day: There’s ANOTHER free shipping code for FredFlare: “FUN” (expires July 6).

A little background on me: I used to live in LA. I loved it. One of the places there that I took a severe liking to before I moved to Seattle was Pinkberry.
Pinkberry sells frozen yogurt. And it’s good – real good. It’s not your TCBY crap. It’s zingy and somewhat healthy and the stores are cute. I can’t ask for much more than that – except to be a little cheaper (although I’ve found Pinkberry prices are better than the other froyo places).
But today is a glorious day because Pinkberry is giving away free small yogurts from 5-9 pm. today (June 26) only. And for the love of all that is good in the world, treat yourself and splurge for the fruit toppings.
(Thanks, Sarah, for the tip!)

Have a room you’d like to spruce up?
Glidden is giving away a free quart of paint beginning June 25.

Levi’s is offering free shipping on all orders from June 23-25.
I’m not sure why I keep getting Levi’s e-mails. I don’t wear them. So I will probably cancel my email subscription (and therefore not post about it here). But they seem to have quite a few online specials, so if you are a Levi’s fan, I suggest subscribing to their emails.

If you have a special purchase in mind and you’d like to do some research first, you should know that you can get a 30-day free trial of Consumer Reports Online – the gold standard for product reviews, according to many people. (You will have to provide a credit card #, so make sure you cancel before the 30 days are up.)
The Consumerist is one of my favorite blogs, and the discount is through their relationship with Consumer Reports.

I adore Fredflare. And a free shipping code, well, that’s like Christmas.
So happy holidays: Use “shade” as the discount code and you’ll get free shipping. That’s a $7.95 savings! Yessssss.
Here are some of my picks:
Will Ferrell sunscreen – Proceeds benefit cancer survivors! $12

Plaid sunglasses – So cute! $11

Gingham bow cami – This is summer. $38
Happy shopping/shipping!

Here’s an idea for a Father’s Day gift/outing. The National Park Service is offering 3 free weekends at parks that usually charge entrance fees. The weekends are:
Click here to see a list of which parks will be free. The list is pretty impressive. You can even go all Brady Bunch and visit the Grand Canyon! (Bring hot dogs and beans to pass out to random native children.)

Click here to get a free sample of a Great Value 90-Calorie Strawberry Cereal Bar. I’ve never heard of that brand, but the sample is being run by Wal-Mart, so it probably can’t be that weird of a product. Plus, it’s free so why not give it a shot?

Sorry for the slow posting lately! I’m making up for it by showing you 5, count ‘em 5, free mixes to download from Urban Outfitters.
Click here. I’ve linked to #5, but you can navigate to the other 4 by clicking the links at the top. Some of the artists include Grizzly Bear, Telekinesis, Delta Spirit, Black Lips, Of Montreal and Beach House.
Start downloading, hipsters!
(Thanks, Veronica, for the tip.)

(Speaking of mini, does anyone else really like the Jack in the Box “mini sirloin burgers” commercial? I feel so wrong and un-PC for liking a commercial that sort of exploits little people, but the song is so cute and the little cattle are precious!)
Anyway… two items that work well for travel:

West Elm is a really awesome store for home furnishings and decor. It’s kind of like Pottery Barn, but I think it’s a little more modern and sleek. If you ever come across a West Elm store, you should take a look around.
Since my budget for home stuff is more in line with the Returned/Damaged section from Ikea, I’ve never bought anything at West Elm. BUT there is good news: They are having their “Dash for Design” sale and it’s pretty good. (Click on Sale in the top right corner on their site.)
The furniture is still kind of expensive, but the smaller stuff – like wall hangings, pillows, bedding, etc. isn’t too bad.

If you’ve been wanting to buy a picture frame (maybe a present for Father’s Day??), here is a link to a couple coupons for Aaron Brothers:
Aaron Brothers has a really nice selection of frames. It’s typically the first place I go to when looking for a frame and they usually have coupons on their web site or by signing up for e-mail promotions.

Despite living in the Northwest, I have yet to be converted to the Patagonia or REI way of life. But, if you’re into that sort of thing, there’s a good sale on Patagonia items at 6pm.com.

Shopping for a Father’s Day gift is not on my list of enjoyable activities. Not because I don’t love my dear ol’ Dad but because he is impossible to shop for. Anybody else feel me on this?
Do you have any good or unique ideas for Father’s Day gifts (that won’t break the bank)? Is there a certain store you always head to? Do you make something? Do you skip the gift-buying altogether? Please share!

This is mostly for Seattle people – or people who want to visit Seattle
Bumbershoot is doing their annual ticket savings deal. If you go to http://www.bumbershoot.org/tickets/promo.htm and enter SWEETDEAL as the promo code, you can get single day tickets for $25/day (normally $50) or 3-day passes for $80 (normally $120).
Now let’s do the math because something is fishy.
$25/day x 3 days = $75, plus $2 service/fee per ticket = $81 + $3.50 handling fee = $84.50
vs. $80/3 days, plus $2 service fee, plus $3.50 handling fee = $85.50
Hmmm…. only a dollar’s difference, but still … If you go all 3 days, why not buy the 3 separate passes? And then if you decide you don’t want to go one day, you can sell your ticket for just that day.
(Shout out to all my old math teachers who helped make this shopping comparison possible … and shout out to MathNet!)

It’s not exactly cute, but housekeeping is a fact of life. Click here to get a booklet of coupons ($30 value) for cleaning products. They’re not for “green” products unfortunately, but a deal’s a deal.

Dear Seattle friends,
Have you ever had frozen custard? It’s pretty delicious – like ice cream but smoother and according to someone online, less calories (like that really matters). Woo hoo!
A new frozen custard place just opened up in Capitol Hill called Old School Frozen Custard. It’s on Pike and 13th. I went there tonight and I can tell you that it’s really good. My dining companions agreed.
And the best news …. This Saturday, June 6, they’re giving away free cones from 3-10 p.m.. Go get yourself some frozen goodness!

In order to buy stuff – whether it’s cheap or cute – you need to have a source of money. For most of us, that means we get jobs.
With the economy being, well, craptastic, job searchers (a group I’ve recently joined) are facing quite the obstacle. Jobs aren’t quite as plentiful and competition is stiff.
My question to you is: Where are good places to find jobs? Of course, networking and knowing the right people is huge, but when it comes to online searches, what do you use? There are the big ones: Craigslist, Monster, CareerBuilder, HotJobs, along with specific sites depending on what industry you work in. What else have you come across? What other ways have you found jobs?

Live Nation is having a No Service Fees Wednesdays promotion. It’s happening June 3 (and I’m assuming will happen again?). Here’s the press release.
I’m not sure if it’s only Ampitheater shows – on Wednesday they’ll probably explain the restrictions, but these artists are included:
311 | blink-182 | Brad Paisley | Creed | Crosby Stills & Nash | Crue Fest 2 | Def Leppard with Poison and Cheap Trick | Depeche Mode | George Strait | Incubus | Jason Mraz | Kid Rock & Lynyrd Skynyrd | New Kids on the Block | Nine Inch Nails and Jane’s Addiction | No Doubt | O.A.R. | Phish | REO Speedwagon & Styx | Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Tour featuring Marilyn Manson & Slayer | Rod Stewart | The Allman Brothers Band | The Fray | The Killers | Toby Keith | Van’s Warped Tour
(Thanks to sassy pants Veronica for the tip.)
